The successful release of WOW in the market has been followed by the arrival of quite a few new brands posing as
wow leveling guides. A few of these are good, some are exceptional while the rest are trashy, to say the least.
Today we’re going to look at WOW Jewelcrafting and basic jewelcrafting information. The ability to jewelcraft
was introduced into the WOW game in the Burning Crusade Expansion. After that you see WOW jewelcrafting guides
appearing everywhere on the internet that attempts to cover everything you need to know about jewelcrafting.
Jewelcrafting Guide: What You Need To Know
Why is jewelcrafting so tempting? Well it’s because it allows players the capacity to create necklaces, rings
and trinkets for either use by the player or they can sell to their friends and other players.
What’s great about jewelcrafting is that you can create gems so you can insert them in socketed items.
Some players who do not have the Burning Crusade Expansion need not worry because you’ll be able to use the gems
and other items created from jewelcrafting. What you need to know is that you do require the expansion to create it
yourself.
Most WOW jewelcrafting guides teach players how to cut gems from mineral ores that they find once they are in
the jewelcrafting profession. Through a process known as prospecting you can derive gems from items such as copper,
mithril or iron. The gems that you cut will give your socketed items special bonuses if you once inserted. It’s
also important to insert the appropriate gem colors in the correct sockets, because if you do it correctly you will
receive an even bigger advantage and bonus.
Most WOW jewelcrafting guides do not point out that jewelcrafting is actually quite unique from the other
enchantments in the game. You do not have the ability to socket gems to weapon or a piece of armor. Enchantments
make it possible, however gems are somewhat limited in that area. There are only a few items from Outland and
Northrend that will give you gems with sockets. However, blacksmiths have the ability to add colorless sockets to
their own accessories, for example their gloves and bracers. If you’re not a blacksmith and you want to use such
items, a blacksmith can create for you an eternal belt buckle so you can also add colorless sockets to their high
level belts.
A good WOW jewelcrafting guide will give you assistance to create complex and beautiful designs. In order to do
so, you need a Jeweler’s Kit. When you attain the jewel crafting skill level of at least 300, high end type of
jewelry items and gem cutting requires you to use a Simple Grinder. In similar manner to the Inscription
profession, jewelcrafting needs the Burning Crusade Expansion. If you have this expansion and you’re crom the
Alliance you can go to Exodar and if you’re from the Horde you can go to Silvermoon. These are the only places in
the whole of Azeroth where players can learn the art of jewelcrafting.
It should also be noted that Draenie has a special racial ability that gives a 5 point bonus to the
jewelcrafting skill.
The basic recipie for jewelcrafting would be the creation of apprentice jewelcrafting designs. However, the more
advanced you become the better you will be. You can then create journeyman jewelcrafting designs, artisan
jewelcrafting designs, master jewelcrafting designs and expert jewelcrafting designs. Ultimately if you want to get
to the Grand Master jewelcrafting degisns, you’ll have to look for trainers who are specific to your affiliation.
For example, if you’re an Alliance player and you want to perfect the Grand Master section, you need to travel to
Ounhulo or Alesto to enahce this skill. Alternatively, if you’re a Horde player you need to go to Geba’li or Carter
Tiffens.
